Role Purpose

The Education Counsellor provides excellent counselling services to guide international students in choosing institutions that align with their learning and career goals. This includes providing information on study opportunities, local education systems, culture, geography, assisting with application documentation, facilitating enrolments, and promoting IDP products and services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieve pipeline goals, customer satisfaction, and advocacy targets by managing each stage of the student journey. Promote essential products and services, maintain leads and applications, seek referral opportunities, participate in events, and maintain the database.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to students, families, and education providers throughout the process. This involves planning engagement activities, providing clear information about admissions and qualifications, and proactively interacting with students and providers.
Required Experience
  • Experience in a sales or customer service environment with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Understanding of the education sector, student placement into VET and universities, including immigration requirements.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or experience as an Education Counsellor or similar role.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, fluent in English, both verbal and written.
