We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bakery Manager to oversee all aspects of our bakery operations. The Bakery Manager will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality baked goods, managing the bakery team, optimizing production processes, and maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards. This role is crucial for delivering the exceptional products our customers love.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the bakery, including baking, decorating, and packaging of all bakery items.
  • Ensure all products meet high standards for quality, taste, appearance, and consistency.
  • Motivate, and manage a team of bakers and bakery staff. Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
  • Oversee inventory control, and stock rotation to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor and control food costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee the proper use, cleaning, and maintenance of all bakery equipment.
  • Collaborate on new product development and menu innovation, staying updated on industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience of 4 - 6 years, ideally with a focus on bakery/dessert businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
  • In-depth understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to interpret and influence bakery P&L performance to drive profitability.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and POS systems is a plus.
