Job Description

Direct responsibility for Quality Control activities on board and in the workshop for Pipe installation and Pipe Welding activities. Involve and successfully complete the entire workshop activities such as fit-up inspection, welding inspection, NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), PWI-IT (Post Weld Heat Treatment), and pressure testing as per project requirements.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Conduct Quality Control Inspection activities in line with QMS standards and procedures.
  2. Monitor and report any issues and delays to the supervisor promptly.
  3. Perform continual in-process inspections to minimize or eliminate rework.
  4. Closely monitor fabrication activities to avoid rework in fit-up/welding.
  5. Assist the supervisor in preparing Inspection and Test Procedures for assigned projects.
  6. Accept, reject, or suggest improvements in case of failures on jobs.
  7. Facilitate department's drive for continual improvement.
  8. Request NDT as per the ITP of the project or vessel.
  9. Motivate productive and safe performance of workers.
  10. Ensure all HSE and Quality aspects are met.

Qualifications

Qualified CSWIP 3.1 (Certificate Scheme for Welding Inspection Personnel) Inspector.

Diploma or NCVT (National Certificate in Vocational Training) / ITC (Industrial Training Certificate) in pipe fabrication.

Experience in Quality Control / NDT Inspections of Pipe and Pipe welds in Shipyard / Oil & Gas Industry / Petrochemical Industry.

Experience

Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in Quality Control / NDT Inspections of Pipe and Pipe welds in Shipyard / Oil & Gas Industry / Petrochemical Industry.
