The Division

Data-Basics, Inc. is a leading provider of Internet-based enterprise software solutions for the service and construction management industries. Offering a fully integrated system, Data-Basics helps companies plan and track daily activities in real-time while managing corporate data in a customized, secure environment. Data-Basics is one of the only software providers in the market today that offers service contractors powerful tools to accommodate both field service and construction management responsibilities in one complete ERP package.

Data-Basics has been providing software that serves HVAC Contactors, Electrical Contractors, Plumbing Contractors, National Service Providers, and other specialty trades within the service industry for more than 40 years.

Data-Basics software development is driven by the needs of service industry contractors. The opportunity to work closely with a variety of specialty service providers has allowed us to remain on the cutting edge of business trends and technological advancements specific to the service and construction management industry.

The Position

We are looking for a talented, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic Full Stack Developer who is responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet our clients' needs and drive the success of our company. You will work on various aspects of the software development lifecycle, from review of requirements, to development, QA, and investigation in to bugs found in production.

The chosen individual will work out of the Contour Software Karachi / Lahore / Islamabad resource center office, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

Job Requirements
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail, with an excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming.
  • 2+ years of experience in developing web applications using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript and, HTML/CSS.
  • Experience with Smalltalk is a plus, otherwise, willingness to learn and work in Smalltalk is required.
  • Experience with SQL database.
  • Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
  • Ability to implement technical solutions to meet product specifications.
  • Participate in product design, code reviews, and quality assurance process.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development Methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and code complex systems.
  • Ability to pick up on technical things quickly, being able to learn new industry, product, or technical knowledge.
  • Good problem-solving skills, using rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Be self-motivated, counted on to exceed goals and have a consistent drive for the quick and effective results to achieve milestones on the company roadmap.
  • Willing to take action to seize new opportunities and ensure excellence in feature implementation.
