Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Civil Engineering (water focus), or a related discipline.
  • Academic exposure to groundwater flow, aquifer systems, geotechnical logging, or water resource management is desirable.

Experience

  • 02 years of relevant experience in hydrogeological or environmental fieldwork, preferably in mining, construction, or water resource projects.
  • Internship or academic fieldwork experience will be considered an advantage.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work in the field under varying weather and site conditions.
  • Strong observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic knowledge of hydrogeological instruments and principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with hydrogeological or mapping tools (e.g., GIS, Leapfrog Hydro) is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, logging, and interpretation of hydrogeological data such as water levels, pump volumes, groundwater quality, and rainfall.
  • Support the installation and maintenance of hydrogeological monitoring equipment including piezometers, flow meters, and sampling stations.
  • Assist in monitoring and updating site water balance systems in compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Help prepare routine reports related to groundwater levels, dewatering activities, water quality, and consumer water usage.
  • Participate in water sampling programs and assist in maintaining accurate sample records in line with QA/QC protocols.
  • Support drilling and well installation programs under supervision, including contractor and field logistics coordination.
  • Contribute to geospatial analysis and mapping of aquifer systems and water-related infrastructure using GIS tools.
  • Participate in field inspections, audits, and safety checks to ensure hydrogeological work aligns with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in allocated work areas and ensure PPE is used in compliance with site safety standards.
  • Assist in investigating water-related issues or complaints and propose remedial actions under supervision.
  • Attend internal and external meetings related to water resource management and provide support on technical matters.
  • Keep abreast with developments in hydrogeology and participate in knowledge-sharing and on-the-job learning.
