Matric with relevant Diploma (Midwifery)

• Wear uniform provided and maintain a smart appearance when dealing with colleagues, patients, and attendants.
• Ensure the entire dispensary and biomedical equipment are clean and in good working order.
• Take prior permission from the duty senior before handling any biomedical equipment.
• Provide sterilized, disinfected, and clean equipment to staff for patient care.
• Ensure full compliance with infection control policies.
• Assist nursing staff during patient shifting and nursing care.
• Routine care and cleaning of all equipment available at their duty station, such as computers, incubators, warmers, ventilators, cupboards, trolleys, etc.
• Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to identify concerns when communicating with others.
• Play a key role in providing support as a Midwife.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Nursing Unit HN/AHN/Supervisor Nursing/TL RN.
• Ability to work effectively as a member of the team and under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
• Able to organize and prioritize work demands.
• Collect and document records of equipment received from CSSD.
• Maintain records of linen stock.
• Maintain records of procedure sets.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the HN/AHN/Supervisor Nursing.
