Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for managing and reducing technical and commercial losses within the PSC department by:

1. Resolving service/complaint tickets within TAT.
2. Identifying and addressing gaps between energy input and billed consumption.
3. Supervising theft detection and meter discrepancy resolution to minimize revenue loss.
4. Accounting for unbilled revenue through load tapping or new connections.
5. Leading a team of MIOs to control theft, inspect and prepare quality SIRs, and discourage illegal connections.

Areas of Responsibilities:

1. Loss Monitoring, Control and Consumer Mapping:
2. Ensure loss reduction by discouraging use of hook connections (legal/illegal) and promote use of energy through metered connections.
3. Control theft through the team of MIOs, manage and supervise their inspection activities, and ensure quality SIRs for the preparation of irregular bills.
4. Monitor timely processing of IRBs, allowances (billing complaints), and rebates where applicable as per the approval matrix.
5. Prepare and arrange SLDs for every LT and HT connection of PSC.
6. Identify other loss reduction avenues and coordinate with relevant departments such as Preventive Maintenance and New Connection to implement loss reduction projects/schemes.
7. Monitor daily cycle theft detection and average cases for corrective action.
8. Ascertain the quality of SIRs and suggest appropriate actions based on data/observations gathered through SIRs.

New Connection Cases B-80:

1. Ensure processing of Case ID for new connections below 80 KW, from document scrutiny to survey planning, BOM, estimate issuance, and meter installation, all within TATs of Asaan Meter Policy, ensuring safety procedures are followed during installation.
2. Oversee the schedule of new connection installations and monitor connections taken on billing within TAT.
3. Coordinate bulk to individual metering cases with Cluster tech team and NC A-80 team.

New Connection A-80:

1. Coordinate with CCE/NCSD and NCPE teams for government connection processing and execution.
2. Ensure all cases are processed within TAT.
3. Coordinate with government/civic agencies and Cluster Tech Team for fault rectification.
4. Coordinate with Cluster Tech team for scheme preparations such as LS Free Supplies and Pole Shifting.

Data Management & Reporting:

1. Update SIRs data from site surveys.
2. Ensure daily reporting of work done.
3. Maintain data integrity and availability.
4. Maintain scorecards for MIOs.

Conversion of DP Connection into Metered Connection:

1. Convert all DP connections into metered connections based on ownership and site findings.

Sweeping of Inactive DP Connections:

1. Survey inactive DP accounts for re-validation and coordinate with civic agencies for ownership verification.

Education:

• Minimum BE in Electrical/Electronics.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in surveying, electrical maintenance, or similar roles is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking and climbing during inspections.

Knowledge:

• Understanding of distribution networks and equipment.
• Familiarity with SOPs, guidelines, and quality standards.
• Knowledge of meter maintenance and operation.
• Understanding of HT/LT networks and record-keeping.
