Some of the responsibilities

  • Manage PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch clusters throughout their lifecycle, from development to production.
  • Implement partitioning and sharding strategies for PostgreSQL to support rapid data growth.
  • Monitor performance issues across all databases, using tools like Datadog, and identify bottlenecks before they affect customers.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize SQL queries and database applications for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Manage backup, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Participate in capacity planning for databases.
  • Develop and maintain database security standards and processes.
  • Automate routine database tasks to improve efficiency.
