Record and maintain detailed logs of all shipments, including date, time, and quantity.
Documentation:
Check and validate shipping and receiving documents for accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with the procurement and logistics teams to resolve any discrepancies in documentation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Communication:
Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other relevant personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the appropriate departments for resolution.
Security:
Monitor security cameras and report any unusual activities or security concerns.
Enforce security procedures to prevent unauthorized access or theft.
Customer Service:
Assist drivers and vendors with inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
Direct incoming traffic to appropriate areas and provide guidance as needed.
Job SpecificationProven experience in a gate clerk or similar role, preferably in a textile or manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with logistics software.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of safety and security procedures.
