Field Geologist

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Field Geologist to join our team for ongoing and upcoming field-based geological investigations. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting geotechnical surveys, geological mapping, logging of boreholes/trenches, sample collection, and preparing field reports in accordance with company and client standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct field investigations including rock and soil logging, sampling, and geological mapping

Supervise and coordinate drilling, sampling, and testing activities at site

Prepare detailed borehole logs, stratigraphic sections, and site documentation

Collect and preserve samples for laboratory testing as per standard procedures

Ensure strict adherence to HSE protocols and fieldwork safety guidelines

Assist in interpreting field data and contribute to technical reporting

Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams during site operations

Maintain field records and submit daily progress reports

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geology / Applied Geology / Earth Sciences

1–3 years of relevant field experience (Fresh graduates with strong interest may also apply)

Familiarity with drilling techniques, core logging, and soil classification

Ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments

Proficient in using geological tools and basic mapping/GIS software

Strong communication, observation, and reporting skills

Physically fit and willing to travel extensively across sites

Experience in geotechnical or hydrogeological fieldwork

Knowledge of ASTM/BS standards for soil/rock classification
