Job Description
Qualification / Experience
Essential
  • BS in Computer Science (4 years) with 2-3 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA) in a reputed organization.
Desirable
  • M.Sc. in Computer Science with 4-6 years of experience as a DBA in a reputed organization.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Build high-availability and quality database systems tailored to end users' roles.
  2. Design and implement databases based on end users' information needs.
  3. Minimize database downtime and optimize parameters for fast query responses.
  4. Provide proactive and reactive data management support.
  5. Establish, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
  6. Conduct regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
  7. Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply patches and updates as needed.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Competencies
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with database design and implementation using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Open ERP Odoo, Nginx Web proxy, PostgreSQL pgAdmin, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), and SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
