Job Description

Job Purpose:

To assist in the acquisition of land by conducting accurate field surveys, verifying land records, preparing land demarcation plans, and coordinating with landowners and relevant government departments. The position is designed to fulfill technical and documentation roles similar to that of a Patwari in land acquisition matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical surveys of proposed land areas using GPS, Total Station, or other surveying tools including Revenue Maps.
• Demarcation / Prepare of Khasra maps and layouts as per the mauza records.
• Verify land ownership details from Revenue Record and updating records accordingly.
• Maintain and update land acquisition files with all necessary documentation.
• Coordinate with Patwaris, Tehsildars, and landowners for land verification and document validation.
• Support concern staff during the land acquisition and transfer process.
• Prepare survey reports, measurement sheets, and area statements.
• Ensure accuracy of surveyed data and digitize records where required.
• Field-based work with frequent travel to acquisition sites and government offices

Required Qualifications:

Education:

• B-Tech (Civil / Surveying) OR
• DAE (Civil / Surveying) OR

Certifications (preferred):

• GIS / AutoCAD / Land Record System (LRS) training

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in land surveying or acquisition-related field work.
• Working experience with Patwar Khana, land revenue records, or private housing schemes preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of land revenue system and khasra maps
• Proficient in using surveying equipment and GIS tools
• Ability to read and interpret land maps and registry documents
• Strong coordination and communication skills with local authorities and villagers
• Report writing and field documentation
• High level of integrity and confidentiality
