Position Overview

The Transportation Support Specialist is responsible for managing and auditing all freight-related activities to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing, shipment coordination, and post-shipment issue resolution. This role supports cross-functional teams including finance, sales, and project management by facilitating order management, verifying shipping data, and optimizing transportation solutions. The specialist works closely with third-party auditors, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies, manage returns and claims, and maintain efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.

What You Will Do As a Transportation Support Specialist

Employees employed in the role of Transportation Support Specialist shall be required to apply their independent mind and demonstrate intellectual abilities in their decision-making.

Your Responsibilities Will Include, But Are Not Limited To

1. Complete auditing and reporting of all freight related invoices via Matched/Unmatched report and EDI portal, confirm invoices are ready for payment to carriers.
2. Manage day-to-day with 3rd party auditor and internal finance team including solutioning issues with payments, late fees, file data.
3. Complete freight related cases returns, re-routes, claims cases. Returns cases are audited to ensure correct billing customer vs. Zones responsibility, best ship method, etc.
4. Assist with department day-to-day email operations (tracking, quoting, fixing shipping errors, updating delivery requirements, etc.)
5. Provide support for sales/PMO/Deployment with order management in CE to ensure orders can ship from TSC as needed.
6. Post-shipment resolutions, i.e. serial number and tracking validation, package research, etc.
7. Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments (maintaining special project schedules as needed).
8. Work with sales and Project managers to ensure orders are shipped in the most efficient and cost-effective ways possible.
9. Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.

What You Will Bring To The Team

1. 1+ year(s) required of experience in transportation and warehousing.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with, present information to, and respond to questions from team members, other departments, administrators, general public, customers, and contracted suppliers.
3. Perform duties and tasks with an awareness of all documented policies and procedures.
4. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
5. Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
6. Graduate – In any discipline.
