Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Draftsman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans based on the specifications provided by engineers or architects. This role requires proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all drawings meet industry standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create Detailed Technical Drawings:

• Develop accurate and detailed drawings, blueprints, and plans based on the specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
• Use CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other drafting tools to produce precise technical drawings.

1. Interpretation and Visualization:

• Interpret and translate sketches, verbal instructions, or rough drafts from engineers or architects into comprehensive technical drawings.
• Create 3D models using software such as Revit, SolidWorks, or other BIM tools to help visualize the project.

1. Ensure Accuracy and Adherence to Specifications:

• Translate technical information into clear and accurate drawings that meet the project's specifications.
• Generate 3D renderings or animations as needed to present a comprehensive view of the project.

1. Compliance with Industry Standards:

• Ensure that all drawings comply with industry standards, building codes, and regulations (particularly US standards).
• Review and adhere to the technical requirements and guidelines provided by architects and engineers.

1. Timely Delivery and Documentation:

• Manage and ensure timely delivery of all drawings and necessary project documentation.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of drawings, updates, and revisions.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting tools for creating precise technical drawings.
• Experience in developing 3D models using software like Revit or SolidWorks to support project visualization.
• Attention to Detail:
• Ability to interpret complex information and instructions from engineers and architects accurately.
• A keen eye for detail to ensure that all technical drawings are accurate and meet project specifications.
• Problem-Solving Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any discrepancies or issues in drawings and plans.
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and provide solutions.
• Communication Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to clearly convey technical information and concepts through drawings and 3D models.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards:
• Familiarity with building codes, industry regulations, and best practices, particularly those following US standards.
• Understanding of engineering and architectural principles to ensure all designs adhere to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6months -2 years of experience in drafting, with expertise in using CAD software and BIM tools.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and similar tools for creating technical drawings and 3D models.
• Experience working on large-scale construction or engineering projects is a plus.
