This is with reference to the advertisements for (contract-based) vacant teaching and non-teaching positions at Chiniot Campus and Institute of Art and Sciences Hafizabad, Government College University Faisalabad, published in the leading national newspapers of Pakistan on 29-10-2019, 02-11-2019, and 06-11-2019. The following details shall be considered part of the said advertisements:

  • The last date for submission of applications is 02-12-2019.
  • Applicants who have already submitted their applications are not required to reapply.
  • All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.

Applications are invited for project-based teaching positions (initially for three years) at the Institute of Art and Sciences Hafizabad (a sub-campus of Government College University, Faisalabad) from Pakistani nationals. These positions are funded by the Higher Education Commission, with specified pay scales, allowances, and packages as per HEC policy. Candidates must meet the prescribed qualifications and experience as detailed below:

1. Assistant Professor (BPS-19)
  • Business Administration
  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Commerce
Eligibility Criteria
  • Age Limit: 30-45 years
  • Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant subject
2. Lecturer (BPS-18)
  • Business Administration
  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • Commerce
Eligibility Criteria
  • Age Limit: 21-35 years
  • Qualification: M.Phil/MS or equivalent (18 years) or Masters Degree from a foreign university in the relevant subject
Instructions
  • The latest prescribed application and bio-data form can be downloaded from the university's website (http://www.gcuf.edu.pk) and should be submitted to the recruitment cell with a demand draft in favor of the Treasurer, Government College University, Faisalabad, as a non-refundable processing fee.
Pay Scale and Fees
  • Assistant Professor BPS-19: Rs. 2500/-
  • Lecturer BPS-18: Rs. 2000/-
  • Candidates from abroad: US $50/-
    • Abroad candidates should submit applications on the prescribed form, along with a bank draft of US $50, attested copies of testimonials, ID, recent photographs, and an updated CV.
    • Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.
    • Applicants for multiple posts must submit separate applications with all required documents.
    • The university reserves the right to reject any application or not to fill any position without explanation.
    • Current employees must apply through proper channels by the deadline.
    • Applicants must attach HEC equivalence certificates where applicable.
    • The scrutiny committee's decision is final, and only meritorious candidates will be called for interviews.
    • Selected candidates will not have the right to claim conversion of their contractual service to permanent employment.
    • Applications must reach the recruitment cell within 15 days of the advertisement's publication during office hours.
    Note
    • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews, based on university procedures.
    • Age conditions may be relaxed as per university policy.
    • The number of positions may be increased or decreased.
    • The university is not responsible for delays or non-receipt of call letters due to postal or courier issues.
    • No TA/DA will be paid for interviews.
