Title: Senior Bookkeeping Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, On site

Location: Plaza ONE, next to PSO Pump, Main GT road, near DHA Phase 2 Gate 1, Islamabad
Timings: 2 PM - 11 PM (Pakistan Standard Time)

Job Overview: VASL, Inc. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Bookkeeping Manager to oversee our bookkeeping operations for multiple US clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial management, along with the skills to lead and supervise a team of bookkeepers. This role involves direct client interaction for reporting and customer success, ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Financial Management:

  1. Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll processing, and reconciliations for multiple clients.
  2. Oversee cash flow management and reporting.
  3. Handle project costing and financial reporting.
Team Management:
  1. Recruit, interview, hire, and train bookkeepers/accountants and professional accounting staff in the finance department.
  2. Supervise and lead a team of bookkeepers, providing guidance, support, and task assignments.
  3. Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
  4. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the team's work.
  5. Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
Client Interaction:
  1. Attend client meetings for reporting purposes and to ensure customer satisfaction.
  2. Act as a point of contact for clients, addressing any concerns and providing financial insights.
Operational Excellence:
  1. Monitor and ensure smooth operation of all bookkeeping activities.
  2. Implement and maintain best practices for bookkeeping processes.
Qualifications:
  1. ACMA, ACCA, or CA finalist.
  2. Experience working with US clients.
  3. Familiarity with financial regulations and standards in the US.
  4. At least 5-7 years of hands-on bookkeeping experience (preferably 3-5 years of supervisory role experience required).
  5. Proven experience in managing a team of bookkeepers.
  6. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, including cash flow management, project costing, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Invoicing, Payroll processing, and Reconciliations.
  7. Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Xero.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  9. Strong organizational and time management skills.
