Principal Software Engineer - (Node+React)

Job Summary

A Full Stack Software Engineer specializing in Node and React at Creative Chaos is responsible for developing server and client applications across various platforms. This includes writing RESTful APIs and developing front-end interfaces for web applications. The Principal Software Engineer ensures that the application's functionality, security, and performance meet design specifications and are free of bugs. Additionally, they lead a team of engineers, mentor team members, and foster continuous training and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
  • Analyze business requirements and estimate tasks
  • Develop and test code, including unit tests
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate with clients
  • Optimize code for security and performance
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing systems
  • Utilize issue tracking software and control versioning
  • Research and implement new technologies
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
  • 6-8 years of professional industry experience
  • Proficiency in JavaScript technologies, NodeJS, and frameworks like ExpressJS and NestJS
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Front-end development skills with HTML, CSS, ReactJS, Redux, and Context
  • Knowledge of design systems such as Material-UI or Atomize and security standards
  • Experience with testing, version control (GitHub), and collaboration tools (JIRA)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, versatile personality, and leadership qualities
