Title and Summary

Associate Managing Consultant, Advisors – Event Management. MasterCard Advisors, the professional services arm of MasterCard Worldwide, provides payments-focused consulting, marketing, information, and risk management services to financial institutions and merchants worldwide. With its unique category expertise, deep understanding of customer needs, and successful track record in addressing complex challenges throughout the payment's lifecycle, MasterCard Advisors addresses the challenges and opportunities of its clients, enhances MasterCard's strategic and tactical performance, and establishes MasterCard's global thought-leadership pre-eminence.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and drive the digital marketing agenda with internal and external stakeholders to grow and scale Mastercard's and clients' revenue through data and results-driven digital marketing strategies and solutions.
  • Create and implement marketing solutions that include data-driven digital marketing initiatives, marketing automation, integrated marketing programs, business development, acquisition, portfolio marketing management, and product launches to support the growth of Mastercard's business and our customers.
  • Evaluate and work with external marketing-related partners with effective platforms, capabilities, expertise, and innovative solutions that best support the growth of our business.
  • Negotiate, execute, and manage end-to-end digital marketing processes and implementation, ensuring global linkage of resources and information sharing.
  • Influence and work closely with a large diverse team to achieve marketing returns, revenue targets, and increase market share with customers.
  • Provide consultative industry-leading practices and Mastercard data and insights in alignment with segment specialty that drive optimal marketing results.
  • Manage projects, P&L, and end-to-end executions in a timely manner.

All About You

  • Conduct short- and long-term planning and management for events and sales.
  • Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans, and objectives and manage within those approved plans.
  • Maintain or exceed budgeted sales and profits in all event areas.
  • Recommend, develop, and implement effective marketing plans for generating event revenues.
  • Evaluate each piece of event business to ensure business can be properly serviced.
  • Assemble creative and innovative event attractions based on internal capabilities or outsource to qualified vendors.
  • Train, supervise, and work with event staff to solicit and book banquet and catering functions, as well as the planning, merchandising, and execution of the functions.
  • Lead the event team to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives.
  • Administer all phases of the event department, including but not limited to sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures.
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect company service standards and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree and intermediate work experience (4-6 years) in event management.
  • Experienced in managing creative and event partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Service-oriented style with professional presentation skills.
  • High energy & entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Effective in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to improve the bottom line.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills.

  • Comfortable to travel when the need arises as well as eligible to apply for travel visas as required by travel needs.
