In the Compliance Conduct and Operational Risk division, as an E-Communication Surveillance personnel, you will be responsible for identifying potential market abuse, such as insider trading and market manipulation, using established surveillance systems. You will monitor activities in Firm and Employee accounts to ensure compliance with policies. The team aims to mitigate reputational and financial risks across markets while adhering to internal policies and regulatory standards.

Job responsibilities

  1. Review surveillance alerts and communications to identify unusual activity and potential compliance issues.
  2. Collaborate with business and compliance stakeholders to detect potential market misconduct and escalate issues accordingly.
  3. Conduct alert-based reviews for possible violations of laws, rules, and regulations.
  4. Manage multiple reports efficiently in a fast-paced environment, engaging in results-oriented tasks.
  5. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to implementing them.
  6. Highlight key issues, risks, trends, and observations to management and stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrate ownership and accountability in following up on issues and cases.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in E-Communication or trade surveillance.
  3. Experience with financial products such as equities, futures, fixed income, and knowledge of information barriers or asset management.
  4. Understanding of market behaviors, including manipulative practices, and ability to review regional regulations.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Excellent organizational, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  8. Flexibility and adaptability to changing processes and environments.
  9. High attention to detail with the capability to perform complex analyses.
  10. Experience with surveillance systems like Smarsh Connected Archive, NICE VOIS, or similar is a plus.
