We are looking for a Senior Django Developer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in building scalable and high-performance backend systems using Django and Django REST Framework (DRF). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in PostgreSQL, Celery with Redis, and Dockerized environments. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining backend APIs and services that power our core products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Architect and maintain backend systems using PostgreSQL, including complex queries and data modeling.
  • Implement asynchronous task processing with Celery and Redis to handle background jobs, scheduling, and long-running tasks.
  • Dockerize applications and maintain development/production environments using Docker.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product managers to deliver features on time.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers.
  • Optimize performance and scalability for high-load applications.
  • Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience working with Django and Django REST Framework (DRF).
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and experience with complex data modeling and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Celery and Redis for task queues and async processing.
  • Proficient with Docker for containerization and environment management.
  • Solid understanding of REST principles and best practices in API development.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
  • Familiarity with security best practices for web applications
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
