User Experience Designer, Senior

Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Job description:

Qualcomm's User Experience team is looking for a candidate for the role of interaction designer. The successful candidate will be involved in the creation of user experience mockups, prototypes, and responsive designs for web applications, PC tools, and mobile applications. The candidate will be expected to work with product and engineering teams to create relevant and intuitive user experiences.

The successful candidate will be involved in the creation of wireframes and mockups. The candidate will be expected to ideate and prototype designs and work on technically complex applications, and will require an individual who is comfortable working with software engineering processes. The development team is distributed between India and San Diego, US.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the candidate must be able to work well with others in a technical environment. Frequent interfacing with team members in the US will be required.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-6 years of experience designing User Interfaces for applications.
• Prior User experience interaction design for complex applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing complex applications in Sketch and InVision or similar tools.
• Experience in Responsive designs and Accessible Rich Internet Applications.
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering teams.
• Thorough understanding of human-centered design methods is critical.
