blueEX Android Developer Job Description

blueEX is looking for motivated and energetic Android developers.

The candidate will work on high visibility consumer applications within our Technology Division, focusing on internal and client-specific projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Web and/or mobile application development.
  • At least 1-year experience in Kotlin.
  • Knowledge of architecture patterns like MVVM, MVC.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  3. Work with external data sources and APIs.
  4. Write unit tests to ensure robustness, usability, and reliability.
  5. Fix bugs and improve application performance.
  6. Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance development efficiency.
  7. Develop applications with geo-centric features such as location check-in, geo-fencing, and location-based searches.
  8. Detect and correct memory usage issues and optimize code for performance.

Other Requirements:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in Android software development.
  • Published at least one original Android app.
  • Experience with Android SDK, REST, JSON, third-party libraries, and APIs.
  • Understanding of the mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Solid understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.

Note: Experience with applications involving geo-centric features is preferred.
