Job Overview:

As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable software solutions. This role requires strong Java programming skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Application Development:

    Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications.

    Write well-designed, efficient, and testable code using best software development practices.
  2. Coding and Debugging:

    Debug and resolve software defects and issues promptly.

    Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
  3. Collaboration:

    Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver software solutions.

    Collaborate with other developers to share knowledge and contribute to a positive team culture.
  4. Database Management:

    Develop and maintain database schemas and SQL queries.

    Integrate Java applications with databases, ensuring data integrity and efficiency.
  5. API Development:

    Design and implement RESTful APIs for communication between different components of the application.

    Integrate third-party APIs into the application as needed.
  6. Testing:

    Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and system testing to ensure the reliability and performance of the application.

    Implement automated testing where applicable.
  7. Documentation:

    Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, system architecture, and user guides.

    Document code changes and updates for future reference.
  8. Security:

    Implement security best practices in application development.

    Address and resolve security vulnerabilities in the code.
  9. Performance Optimization:

    Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the application.

    Optimize code and queries for better responsiveness and scalability.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Java Developer or similar role.

Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystems.

Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate.

Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.

Familiarity with web application development and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications in Java programming or related technologies can be advantageous. A strong portfolio of Java-based projects or contributions to open-source projects is a plus during the hiring process.
