Job Title: Quality Control & Assurance Manager

About the Role

We're seeking a hands-on, detail-orientedQuality Control & Assurance Managerto lead and institutionalize a culture of quality across our home appliances manufacturing plant. This role is critical to ensuring our products meet rigorous internal and external quality standards at every stage—from incoming raw materials to final product delivery.

You will oversee all aspects of quality control (QC), quality assurance (QA), and compliance, and implement robust systems for continuous improvement across production lines, suppliers, and testing protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all QC/QA operations, including inwards inspection, in-line process checks, and final product testing
  • Develop, implement, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for quality at each manufacturing stage
  • Manage a team of quality inspectors and train production staff on quality standards and defect prevention
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality failures
  • Establish statistical process control (SPC) and implement ISO-compliant quality systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent)
  • Maintain calibration and upkeep of all QC equipment
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet technical specifications
  • Collaborate with R&D and Production teams to assess new product manufacturability and durability
  • Generate quality reports, KPIs, and dashboards for leadership
  • Own internal and third-party audits, certifications, and compliance processes
  • Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to ensure calibration and reliability of QC tools

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years of QC/QA experience in a discrete manufacturing environment (home appliances preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause methodologies
  • Proven experience setting up or improving QA/QC systems
  • Familiar with mechanical testing, visual inspection, and electrical safety standards for appliances
  • Ability to develop enforceable, factory-floor-ready SOPs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with ERP/MES systems is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and visual management techniques
  • Exposure to statistical tools or digital QC workflows is a plus (e.g. control charts, capability analysis)
