What You'll Do

This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented and analytical professional who thrives in a high-performance, collaborative environment. The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases. The role includes proactive monitoring, maintenance, performance tuning, and working closely with application and infrastructure teams to support mission-critical systems.

Database Administration & Maintenance
  1. Monitor database performance, identify slow queries, and resolve resource bottlenecks to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as patching, upgrading software, rebuilding indexes, and cleaning obsolete data.
  3. Manage regular database backups, test recovery procedures, and ensure quick restoration in case of failure or disaster.
Security & Compliance
  1. Implement and maintain database security, including user access controls, encryption, and auditing to safeguard sensitive data.
  2. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.
Issue Resolution & Support
  1. Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including performance degradation, connectivity issues, and data corruption.
  2. Provide timely support during critical incidents and work closely with engineering teams for root cause analysis and resolution.
What You Know
  1. Proven experience in administering both RDBMS (SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (Aurora PostgreSQL, DocumentDB, etc.).
  2. Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and schema optimization.
  3. Expertise in setting up data migration pipelines using industry-standard tools.
  4. Performance tuning and optimization skills for large-scale, complex databases.
  5. Proficiency in monitoring tools and generating reports on database health, trends, and forecasts.

  3. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying issues and solutions.
Education
  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
