Job Description:

As our Associate Video Editor, you will be a key player in our content creation process, transforming raw instructional footage into clear, compelling, and professional educational videos. Working closely with our curriculum developers and lead editors, you will ensure our content is not only informative but also visually engaging for our learners. This is a fantastic remote opportunity for a skilled editor looking to make an impact in the education technology space.

Responsibilities:

• Edit raw video footage of lessons, tutorials, and promotional materials into polished and engaging educational content.
• Incorporate on-screen text, educational graphics, and animations to enhance learning points and viewer engagement.
• Select and integrate appropriate background music and sound effects, ensuring clear and crisp audio quality for all instructional content.
• Perform color correction and audio mixing to maintain a consistent and professional brand standard.
• Collaborate with our team via remote communication tools to understand project requirements and educational goals.
• Organize and manage digital assets, project files, and archives in a cloud-based environment.
• Format and export final videos for various online learning platforms and social media channels.

Required Skills and Software Proficiency:

• A strong portfolio demonstrating your video editing skills, preferably with examples of educational or instructional content.
• Expert proficiency inAdobe Premiere Pro/Filmora/Capcut.
• Strong experience withAdobe After Effectsfor creating motion graphics and visual aids.
• Familiarity withAdobe Photoshopand/orIllustratorfor creating and editing graphic assets.
• Knowledge of other editing software likeFinal Cut ProorDaVinci Resolveis a plus.
• A solid understanding of video and audio principles, including formats, codecs, and compression for web-based delivery.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
