Job Role / Responsibilities:

You will be reporting to the Manager, Solutions & Innovation or a nominee designated by the AKU Director of Solutions & Innovation. You are expected to be capable of designing, developing, and delivering custom SharePoint solutions, workflows, and components ensuring their reusability and scalability. Additionally, you will conduct feasibility studies and cost/benefit analysis and formulate proposals for system enhancement and implementation plans. You will research, analyze, and select technical approaches for solving difficult and challenging development and integration problems. Share best practices and development approaches with team members.

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating software application development, implementation, and maintenance.
  • Leading business requirements analysis activities and participating in the study, analysis, and design of systems. You should be capable of detailed coding and participate in the coding process to a reasonable level.
  • Leading and coordinating the maintenance of application systems and related documentation.
  • Working with major customers to understand requirements, evaluating existing processes and applications.
  • Conducting business analysis for existing systems.
  • Evaluating existing process workflows to provide the best possible solution.
  • Independently handling day-to-day complex operational issues/systems.
  • Contributing to developing new procedures/processes through innovation.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient flow of services and resources.
  • Identifying issues and making decisions in consultation with the manager (where required) in accordance with the policies & procedures.
  • Coordinating with other sections/departments to deliver results.

Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:

  • Should possess a degree in Computer Science or related disciplines such as Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, MBA in MIS or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications in relevant fields will be considered an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of proven prior experience in web development.
  • Experience in technology upgrades and SharePoint migration projects.
  • Hands-on SharePoint experience for developing public-facing websites and portals.
  • Conversant with data modeling and analysis techniques.
  • Able to work closely with users to help define requirements, new applications, and procedures.
  • Ability to carry out feasibility studies, cost/benefit analysis, formulation of proposals for system enhancements, development, and implementation plans.
  • Ability to understand issues from the client's perspective and monitor services provided to clients, making timely adjustments as required.
  • Ability to maintain continuous open and consistent communication with others, supported with relevant data, information, examples, and demonstrations.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for work activities and coordinate efforts while seeking others' input and involvement and listening to their viewpoints.
  • Ability to liaise with others to ensure alignment with the business goals and vision of the organization.
