ShopCash is a cashback loyalty program launched by Wego in MENA in 2020. ShopCash gives users access to a wide range of cashback offers, promo codes, deals and vouchers from a variety of merchants. About the role

We are looking for passionate engineers to join the ShopCash team. This is a team role and you'll be involved in many aspects — primarily helping to build and maintain its iOS/Android apps.

Along with other team members, you will be solving challenging problems in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineering for ShopCash mobile apps e.g. through design reviews, code reviews, tests and regular retrospective meetings.
  • Partner with the product owner, designers, analysts and other engineers to drive requirements that take into account all stakeholders' needs.
  • Identify and proactively address engineering challenges for the product, driving complex technical decisions together with your colleagues.
  • Solve the team's problems as part of a close-knit team - designing systems with good abstractions, fixing production issues, providing constructive feedback on other developers' code in pull requests and welcoming feedback on your own work too.
  • Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other Agile development processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in React Native, TypeScript, Swift, and Kotlin.
  • API integrations and fallback-handling.
  • Version control, branching strategies, and feature management.
  • CI/CD pipelines.
  • Unit & E2E tests.
  • Release monitoring and issues management
  • Excellent English communication and technical writing.
  • Ability to own and ship a big project end-to-end involving complex decisions based on business and technological impact.
  • As part of our AI-driven Engineering culture, you will be expected to
    already have integrated AI tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot agent
    mode into your daily software development process. We seek candidates
    who not only embrace these technologies, but also exercise critical
    oversight via iterating prompts, verifying outputs, and ensuring secure,
    high-quality code.
