Job Summary:

As the Business Development Manager (Upwork Specialist), you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities on Upwork, writing persuasive proposals, managing client communication, and enhancing our presence on freelancing platforms. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-oriented, and possesses a deep understanding of Upwork's ecosystem and bidding strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and Bid on Projects: Find and bid on relevant Upwork projects that align with Mexil Software Solutions' offerings in web development, mobile apps, UI/UX design, QA, and digital marketing.
  2. Craft Compelling Proposals: Write customized, high-converting proposals that clearly articulate how we can meet client needs and deliver exceptional value.
  3. Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring consistent communication and high satisfaction.
  4. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with technical teams (developers, designers, QA) to prepare accurate project quotes, timelines, and deliverables.
  5. Market Research: Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and Upwork-specific strategies to continuously improve our positioning and service offerings.
  6. Maintain High Client Satisfaction: Ensure high client satisfaction by delivering quality proposals, maintaining a professional Upwork profile, and responding to clients in a timely manner.
  7. Track and Report: Monitor and report on Upwork activity, client engagement, and conversion metrics, ensuring we meet or exceed growth targets.
  8. Align with Marketing and Delivery Teams: Work alongside the marketing and delivery teams to ensure seamless execution and alignment of business development strategies.
Requirements:
  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 1–2 years of proven experience working on Upwork or similar freelancing platforms, with a successful track record of winning projects.
  3. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft persuasive proposals and engage clients professionally.
  4. Proposal Writing & Negotiation: Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and client-handling skills.
  5. Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of services like Web/Mobile Development, UI/UX Design, QA, or Digital Marketing.
  6. Upwork Expertise: Solid understanding of the Upwork platform, including algorithms, bidding strategies, and profile optimization to maximize visibility and engagement.
  7. Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple clients and projects simultaneously while ensuring high-quality results.
Nice to Have:
  1. Experience working with CRM tools or sales management software.
  2. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  3. Previous experience in a remote team environment or working with clients across different time zones.
