About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Maintenance (Mechanical) to join our team at Novatex Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical maintenance for our production facilities, ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive mechanical maintenance strategy focused on maximizing equipment uptime and minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Lead and empower a team of maintenance engineers and technicians, providing mentorship, training, and motivation for their professional growth.
  • Manage the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring the efficient allocation and utilization of resources to achieve departmental goals.
  • Identify, champion, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within maintenance practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Oversee the maintenance and ensure the optimal functionality and performance of all rotary and stationary equipment.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis of equipment failures to identify underlying issues and implement effective preventative measures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment performance, and repair history

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • CMRP qualified will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating a team.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical maintenance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
