Job Summary:
The NDT Technician will be responsible for executing non-destructive testing procedures using advanced techniques to assess the structural integrity and quality of materials, welds, and components. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret test results and provide actionable insights for maintenance and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT), including Phased Array (PAUT) and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD) to detect, locate, and size internal flaws.
- Conduct Radiographic, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant Testing on welds, castings, forgings, and structural components.
- Carry out thickness measurements and corrosion mapping of pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections to detect early signs of wear, corrosion, or potential failure.
- Accurately interpret technical drawings and blueprints to plan inspection strategies.
- Identify and record defect types, locations, and dimensions, and support decision-making in repair and maintenance activities.
- Generate comprehensive inspection reports summarizing test results and recommendations.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of inspections.
- Ensure all testing procedures comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering and client teams to align testing schedules with operational needs and project deadlines.
- Uphold quality assurance standards to ensure consistency, repeatability, and reliability of testing outcomes.
- Perform fieldwork in various industrial environments such as construction sites, workshops, and manufacturing units, as required by project scope.
- Willingness to travel as per project requirements, including out-of-city and on-site assignments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education:DAE (Diploma of Associate Engineering) in Mechanical Technology.
Certifications:NDT Level II in:
- Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
- Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT)
- Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)
- Experience:1–2 years of relevant hands-on experience in industrial non-destructive testing.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in operating NDT equipment and interpreting results.
- Sound understanding ofNDT codes and standards(ASNT, ISO, ASTM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
- Commitment toworkplace safetyand operational integrity.
Salary 65K- 75K
