Job DescriptionThe Assistant Manager QMD supports the implementation and maintenance of Quality and Patient Safety programs within the campus. The role involves ensuring healthcare services meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices for patient safety.
1. Quality Management:
- Assist DM in developing DPI (Departmental Performance Improvement) programs aligned with HWRI (Hospital-wide Performance Improvement).
- Implement policies, procedures, and guidelines for Quality Assurance to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Monitor compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and internal policies.
- Conduct audits and quality assessments to identify improvement areas and promote Continuous Quality Improvement.
- Lead SOs and Officers on the ground.
- Collaborate with data analysts to collect feedback, complaints, incident reports, sentinel events, and safety-related data.
- Analyze feedback, complaints, near-misses, incidents, and sentinel events to maintain updated records, share findings with DM/RM, and ensure timely resolution.
- Verify data accuracy before logging into databases and sharing with DM/RM.
- Assist DM in conducting RCA and FMEA for significant incidents.
- Help implement preventive and corrective actions to mitigate risks.
2. Data Management & Reporting:
- Collect and analyze KPIs related to Quality and Patient Safety.
- Assist DM in preparing regular campus reports for senior management.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely report submission.
3. Staff Training and Development:
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety for clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Provide guidance on best practices.
- Conduct basic training for staff on quality and safety topics.
- Lead SOs and Officers on the ground.
4. Accreditations and Regulatory Compliance:
- Support staff understanding of relevant regulations and accreditation standards.
- Assist departments in preparing for inspections and audits.
- Help address objections and compile reports post-inspection.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure organizational policies are current.
5. Patient and Family Engagement:
- Support initiatives involving patients and families to improve care quality and safety.
- Develop educational materials on patient safety and quality.
- Lead SOs and Officers on the ground.
