We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Production Manager – Furniture on behalf of our client, to oversee production processes while ensuring high standards of efficiency, quality, and safety in operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a solid background in production management, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Job Overview

The Production Manager Furniture will manage and oversee the entire furniture manufacturing process, ensuring the efficient operation of the assembly line, managing inventory and materials, and delivering high-quality products on time. This role requires a deep knowledge of production management, market trends, and effective team leadership to foster a productive and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Production Planning & Coordination
    a. Plan and organize the production schedule to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
    b. Ensure efficient use of resources, materials, and manpower.
  2. Assembly Line Management
    a. Supervise the assembly line to maintain smooth production flow and minimize downtime.
    b. Optimize line performance and address any issues quickly to avoid delays.
  3. Team Management
    a. Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers.
    b. Ensure the team adheres to safety protocols and production standards.
  4. Market Knowledge
    a. Stay informed about industry trends and competitor products.
    b. Implement insights to enhance product offerings and remain competitive in the market.
  5. Quality Control
    a. Monitor the production process and ensure that all products meet quality standards.
    b. Take corrective action when quality standards are not met.
  6. Inventory Management
    a. Monitor and track inventory levels of raw materials and supplies.
    b. Ensure materials are available for production without overstocking or shortages.
  7. Material Purchasing
    a. Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment for production.
    b. Manage supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials.
  8. Process Improvement
    a. Identify areas for improvement in production processes.
    b. Implement new processes and technologies to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  9. Health & Safety Compliance
    a. Ensure that production activities comply with safety regulations.
    b. Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the team.
  10. Budget Management
    a. Monitor production costs and ensure adherence to the budget.
    b. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (preferred).
  2. Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in furniture production management or a related field.
