Warehouse Supervisor

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in warehouse/logistics roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and safety procedures.
• Experience with ERP/WMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor).
• Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and HSE compliance in mining environments.
• Forklift certification or similar is an asset.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in remote or challenging environments.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure all deliveries of goods are discharged according to procedures.
2. Verify that all received items are unpacked, checked, and their quantity and quality are correct.
3. Store inventory items properly and in accordance with procedures.
4. Receive and distribute items needed urgently, following established procedures.
5. Manage fuel and reagents receipt and issuance following procedures and system updates, working closely with Supply Chain Lead and Superintendent.
6. Ensure commodities like Fuel, Explosives, Dry cargo, and Lubricants go through the weighbridge as per procedure.
7. Update records of deliveries at the main store daily.
8. Isolate and manage non-compliant receipts according to procedures.
9. Return empty containers not belonging to the mine.
10. Organize and optimize storage space, monitor storage conditions, and ensure safety measures are in place.
11. Ensure storage of chemicals meets international safety and environmental standards.
12. Oversee stock removal operations and record transactions accurately in the system.
13. Participate in cycle and annual inventory counts.
14. Maintain safety and environmental standards during all operations.
15. Archive store operation documents properly.
16. Perform additional tasks to support store operations and review SOPs.
