IT Infrastructure & Windows Server Expert (Office + VPN + RDP Setup)

Project Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Infrastructure & Windows Server Expert to set up a secure, scalable remote access solution for Russian users to use Microsoft Office, bypassing regional restrictions. The solution will involve setting up a Windows Server-based virtualized infrastructure in Dubai, with multiple user-isolated VMs accessible via RDP and secured VPN connections.

Key Responsibilities:

*Design & Deploy a secure Windows Server infrastructure (preferably in Dubai) to host multiple Virtual Machines (VMs).

* Install and activate Microsoft Office Pro Plus (volume licensing) on each VM.

* Configure secure VPN access (e.g., Surfshark) and Remote Desktop (RDP) connections.

* Implement user isolation, disable USB, clipboard redirection, and restrict admin rights for end users.

* Set up firewall rules, VPN tunnels, and static public IP configurations.

* Manage user creation, authentication policies, and monitor session activity.

* Prepare the system for scaling, ensuring that more VMs can be added as needed.

* Optional: Assist with Citrix setup or Azure Virtual Desktop if required.

* Ensure full administrative control remains with our internal team.

* Implement regular patching, backup solutions, and long-term system maintenance protocols.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

* 2+ years in Windows Server administration and virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, or similar).

* Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (Surfshark or similar).

* Expertise in setting up and securing Remote Desktop (RDP) environments.

* Proficient in Office Pro Plus installation, activation, and updates in a controlled environment.

* Strong understanding of Group Policy (GPO) to disable USB, restrict permissions, etc.

* Experience with firewall configurations and static IP setup.

* Knowledge of user access control, session logging, and network security best practices.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills):

* Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (for app publishing).

* Familiarity with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Microsoft Azure infrastructure.

* Certification(s) like MCSE, MCSA, or CompTIA Network+/Security+.
