Graduate Environmental Engineers / Analysts

Are you an Environmental Engineering/Sciences graduate eager to launch your career in a fast-paced, impact-driven environment?

Hagler Bailly Pakistan (HBP) is looking for motivated early-career professionals to join our Environmental Programs team. As a Graduate Environmental Engineer/Analyst, you will work alongside experienced professionals in the Energy and Environment Divisions, contributing to high-profile international projects and multidisciplinary environmental assessments. Success in this role means being curious, adaptable, and collaborative—someone who brings a can-do attitude, thrives under deadlines, and is excited to learn and grow in real-world field and technical settings. This role is your gateway to building a strong foundation in environmental consulting while helping shape sustainable development across the region.

Responsibilities

You will support a range of technical tasks, including:

  • Assisting in the development of physical environmental baselines and assessments
  • Supporting environmental modeling (air dispersion, noise, and water quality)
  • Contributing to the integration of environmental concerns in engineering feasibility studies
  • Writing technical reports, memos, and assisting with proposal development
  • Providing support to modeling experts in Climate Change, GIS, as required
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned by supervisors

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum degree: BSc/BEng in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Space Sciences, or a closely related field from a reputable local or foreign university
  • Experience: No prior work experience is required, but 1–2 years in a relevant field will be considered a plus
  • Familiarity with environmental monitoring and modeling techniques through academic coursework or projects.
  • Strong quantitative and statistical analysis skills with experience handling large datasets for hydrological and climate modeling applications
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and work with new tools and technologies
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Fluency in English
  • Full willingness to travel for field assignments

Preferred Technical Skills

Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages or platforms will be considered a strong advantage:

  • MATLAB and/or Python
  • VBA (Excel Macros)
  • C/C++
