Applications are invited for a temporary (likely to become permanent) teaching post in the discipline of Fine Arts at Government College University, Faisalabad, from Pakistani Nationals. The position offers the pay scale specified by the university plus usual allowances as permissible under university rules. Candidates must meet the qualifications and experience detailed below:

Assistant Professor of Fine Arts (01 Post)

Qualification & Experience

Age Limit: 30-45 Years

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized University/Institution
  • OR, Master's Degree (Foreign) or M.Phil or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized University/Institution, with 4 years teaching/research experience in a recognized university or professional experience in a national or international organization
  • OR, First Professional degree (minimum 4 years, first division) from an HEC-recognized University/Institution, with 6 years teaching/research or professional experience in a recognized university or organization

Instructions:

  • The application form can be downloaded from the university website (http://www.gcuf.edu.pk/) and must be submitted with a demand draft of Rs. 700/- in favor of the Treasurer, Government College University, Faisalabad, except for Research/Teaching Assistant posts.
  • Applicants wishing to receive the form by post should send a written request with a self-addressed large envelope and Rs. 30 postage stamps.
  • Applications must include attested copies of educational certificates, ID card, two recent photographs, and an updated CV.
  • Abroad candidates may submit applications on plain paper with CV and attested copies of degrees and experience certificates.
  • Incomplete applications or those received after the deadline will not be entertained.
  • The university reserves the right to reject any application or not fill the position without reason.
  • Applications must be submitted in triplicate on the prescribed form.
  • Candidates already employed must apply through proper channels by the deadline.
  • Complete applications should reach the Registrar's Office by mail no later than 08-08-2011.
