Riphah International University is seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures across our campus. Your expertise in electrical wiring, safety standards, and general maintenance will ensure that all electrical work is completed to the highest standard. A recognized diploma or certification in electrical work is mandatory, along with 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in the field. While this position does not require team management, you will collaborate with other professionals to ensure all electrical installations and repairs are safe and effective.As an Electrician at Riphah International University, you will play a critical role in maintaining the electrical infrastructure that supports our educational mission. Your primary focus will be on ensuring safety, functionality, and reliability of our electrical systems, which are vital for the daily operations of our campus facilities. Your contributions will directly impact the learning environment for students and staff alike, and your commitment to excellence will be appreciated across the university community.
Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems and components as described in blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical equipment and fixtures, ensuring they are functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and techniques to resolve malfunctions effectively.
  • Replace or repair faulty wiring, fixtures, and circuit breakers to maintain optimal electrical functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with all electrical safety standards and regulations while executing work on campus.
  • Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate electrical installations and repairs, maintaining a smooth workflow.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inventory of electrical supplies.
  • Respond promptly to service calls relating to electrical issues and emergencies, providing timely solutions.
  • Educate staff and students on electrical safety practices and procedures, promoting awareness and prevention of electrical hazards.
  • Adhere to university policies and procedural guidelines while performing electrical work in various campus locations.
