Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI.
  • Implement and optimize asynchronous programming patterns for high-performance applications.
  • Integrate backend services with cloud platforms such as AWS (Lambda, SQS) and/or GCP (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
  • Architect and maintain distributed systems and work extensively with message queues.
  • Integrate with various speech APIs (e.g., Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Azure Speech, ElevenLabs).
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, product managers, and AI/ML teams to design and build seamless end-to-end solutions.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize backend systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Explore and work on LLM/AI agent workflows to enhance backend functionalities (preferred).
  • Integrate with Twilio or similar telephony APIs to enable voice and messaging features.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Python backend development.
  • Strong hands-on experience with FastAPI and asynchronous programming.
  • Practical experience with cloud services, especially AWS (Lambda, SQS) and/or GCP (Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions).
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and message queues.
  • Experience integrating with speech processing APIs (Deepgram, AssemblyAI, Azure Speech, ElevenLabs, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Twilio or similar telephony APIs (preferred).
  • Knowledge of LLM/AI agent workflows is a plus.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent client-handling and communication skills, with the ability to manage and address client requirements effectively.
  • Past experience in leading a dynamic team is a plus.
  • Proven ability to adapt to new tools and technologies, with a willingness to take on challenges.
