The duties and responsibilities as Assistant Fashion Designer

  • Prepare drawings or digital renderings of outfits for approval by the client.
  • Communicate with department heads to ensure that all of their demands are addressed.
  • Coordinate fittings between designers and customers to guarantee satisfaction with fit, style, and fabric quality.
  • Manage the management of the company's customer database, including contact information and purchase histories.
  • Create a thorough clothing budget based on client needs and the designer's pricing list.
  • Assist designers with the fabric-choosing process by supplying samples of fabrics for them to utilize in drawings.
  • Manage customer information by keeping track of purchases and fashion trends to make relevant advice.
  • Discuss clients' design demands with the fashion designer to gather advice.
  • Work with current and new clients on new ideas, concepts, and designs.
  • Assist in building mood and trend boards for reference reasons.
  • Perform detailed market trend research to determine competitive prospects.
Job Specification

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in design or fine arts, or college degree in fashion design or equivalent subject.
  • 3-5 years of design experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Pattern and cutting knowledge (Sketch and Technical skills).
  • Excellent design and conceptual talents.
  • Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator Skills (Mandatory)
  • Ability to fulfill many deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Eastern and Western Styles
  • Must be Familiar with customize accessories.
