Backend Developer (Python & FastAPI) - Remote

Hiring for a US-based data consultancy firm that provides solutions to US-based businesses.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer with 3+ years of experience in backend development using Python, specifically with the FastAPI framework. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and exposure to DevOps practices, especially Kubernetes, which will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Python (FastAPI).
  2. Build and integrate efficient RESTful APIs and microservices.
  3. Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust CI/CD workflows.
  5. Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance backend performance and reliability.
  6. Write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in backend development using Python with FastAPI.
  2. Experience working with GCP and cloud-based infrastructure.
  3. Familiarity with containerization using *Docker; experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of microservices and API-driven architectures.
  5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an agile environment.

  • Location: Remote, anywhere from Pakistan
  • Timing: 5:30 PM to 4:30 AM (5 days a week)
