About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced microbiologist to join our dynamic pharmaceutical team as a manager or assistant manager, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing microbiological testing, ensuring compliance with cGMP, DRAP, and international regulatory standards, and maintaining a sterile environment within manufacturing areas.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage and execute all microbiological testing of raw materials, water, the environment, and finished products.

2. Supervise and lead the microbiology laboratory team.

3. Ensure compliance with GMP, DRAP, and internal SOPs.

4. Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) of manufacturing areas, including sterile and non-sterile zones.

5. Perform and review tests such as bioburden, BET, sterility, MLT, and microbial limits.

6. Monitor water systems, including RO, WFI, and PW, for microbiological analysis.

7. Support validation activities: HVAC validation, cleaning validation, and media fill.

8. Coordinate with QA, QC, and production departments for timely results and investigations.

9. Prepare, review, and approve microbiological SOPs and reports.

Handle regulatory audits and customer inspections related to microbiology.

Education & Experience:

M.Sc./B.Sc . in Microbiology

7 to 8 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical microbiology laboratory.

Previous experience in sterile/aseptic manufacturing environments will be preferred.

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical microbiology practices, EM, water systems, and aseptic techniques.

Hands-on experience with microbiological instruments and culture techniques.

Well-versed with regulatory guidelines (GMP, DRAP, ISO).

Excellent team management, communication, and documentation skills.

Ability to lead audits and ensure lab readiness at all times.
