Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Playwright)

Vertex IT Solutions is seeking a QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Playwright to develop and execute automated tests for both UI and API testing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building scalable test automation frameworks, ensuring application reliability, and optimizing the testing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for UI and API testing.
  • Implement and optimize end-to-end (E2E), functional, regression, and performance tests.
  • Develop and execute API automation tests using Playwright, REST Assured, or other tools.
  • Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
  • Continuously improve test coverage and efficiency of automated testing.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in QA Automation with a focus on Playwright.
  • Strong experience in UI automation testing using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman, RestAssured, or Playwright API testing.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Knowledge of test reporting frameworks like Allure or Mocha/Jest.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with performance testing using JMeter or k6.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms (AWS, Azure, LambdaTest, etc.).
