Accountant

The ideal candidate will be involved in preparing bank reconciliations, financial reports, and statements. Moreover, the candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills and business acumen, with the ability to think analytically and critically—key skills required for an accountant.

Job Description
- Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts; entering data into QuickBooks, Xero, and FreeAgent accounting software.
- Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure.
- Completing VAT returns and reconciling VAT.
- Developing monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual management statements—profit & loss accounts and balance sheets.
- Performing extensive data validation and quality assurance analysis.
- Preparing notes and working papers that are easy to follow and have a good audit trail.
- Arranging regular meetings with team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education (Bachelor's or Master's) in Accounting or related disciplines.
- Work experience with small to medium-sized, fast-paced companies.
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., MS Office, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Ability to analyze data to identify issues and solutions.
