Position Summary:The successful candidate will ensure adherence to construction standards while leading the implementation and monitoring of physical infrastructure activities in a timely manner. They may also be called upon to lead surveys, participatory needs assessments, or other necessary activities.
Job Responsibilities:- Develop drawings, designs, and prepare BoQs according to project components.
- Analyze infrastructural designs and BoQs from community and donor organizations, providing recommendations; assess vendors' competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status.
- Supervise project progress through periodic visits.
- Assist the project coordinator in comparing actual project costs with estimates.
- Help analyze equipment, systems, and processes to identify modifications for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
- Prepare periodic progress and cost reports for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.
- Collaborate with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
- Support the technical team and supervise project activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the project coordinator.
- Review field feedback to ensure it meets SOP standards before submission.
- Maintain close liaison with mobilization officers and CBOs.
- Compile and submit bi-weekly or monthly reports on construction activities.
- Undertake any other assignments as required by the supervisor.
- BSc/B-Tech in Civil Engineering and Technology.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in humanitarian and development projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other civil engineering software.
- Experience in preparing presentations and written reports.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, liaison, and presentation skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel to duty sites and villages as required.
- Flexibility and adaptability to challenging working conditions, including long walks to work/distribution sites.
- Excellent spoken and written skills in local languages, Urdu, and English.
- Good computer skills, including report writing and data analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
