Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets. Manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of software engineers, systems analysts, data engineers, data scientists, and other technical professionals. Foster collaboration and empower team members to achieve their best work.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure the technical feasibility of project plans and solutions. Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications, systems integrations, and data-driven solutions.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet or exceed expectations. Monitor and address technical issues and bugs promptly.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively. Gather and incorporate feedback to enhance project outcomes.
- Client-Facing Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs and goals, and ensure their satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk and Budget Management: Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks to project timelines, quality, or budget. Manage project budgets and optimize resource utilization.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Track project performance using relevant metrics (e.g., on-time delivery, budget variance, customer satisfaction). Prepare comprehensive project reports for stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and drive innovation within the technology project management framework. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude with a deep understanding of software development, systems integration, and data-related technologies. Experience with cloud computing, machine learning, or other cutting-edge technologies is a plus.
- 4-6 years of proven experience managing technology projects, with exposure to software development, systems integration, and data-oriented initiatives.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum). PMP, Scrum Master, or similar project management certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Basecamp, Trello).
- Knowledge of data analytics, AI concepts, and data engineering principles; familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptability and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and database technologies.
