What You'll Do

1. Architect and develop secure, standard-compliant backend services using Node.js.
2. Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure that supports high-performance applications.
3. Write clear, efficient, well-tested services, following clean code principles.
4. Ensure compliance with security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in cloud-based ecosystems.
5. Integrate sandbox testing with leading US banking systems.
6. Lead the development of microservices, ensuring modular, maintainable architecture.
7. Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and leadership teams to bring ideas to life.
8. Optimize security measures, data protection strategies, and risk mitigation across the tech stack.
9. Take an active role in recruiting and mentoring backend engineers, helping to build a high-performing team.
10. Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the team.
11. Possibility to grow into a leadership role over time.

What We're Looking For

• Expertise in Node.js, with understanding of Typescript / strong backend development skills.
• Solid understanding of Unit, Integration testing, and test-driven development.
• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and deployment strategies.
• Well-versed in security and encryption techniques.
• Deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and scalable / secure architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, DevOps tools.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of complexity, performance, in software systems.
• Bonus: Experience with serverless architecture.
• Bonus: Experience in cybersecurity / security auditing compliance.
• Bonus: Knowledge of SOC 2, GDPR, OWASP security principles, or other compliance frameworks.
• Passion for startups and the ability to work independently in an energetic environment.
• Experience / interest in mentoring team members.
• Collaborative / initiative-driven focus.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
