Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Security Engineer (Platform Engineer) to
join our dynamic IT security team. In this role, you will be responsible for the
management, configuration, and administration of critical security platforms, ensuring
the protection of our infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data. You will work with
cutting-edge technologies to provide robust and scalable security solutions across our
environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with a wide range of security technologies,
including firewalls, privileged access management (PAM), network access control
(NAC), secure access service edge (SASE), endpoint security, email security, intrusion
prevention systems (IPS), encryption, load balancers (LB), application firewalls, DDoS
protection, DNS security, proxies, and cloud security (CASB). You will be a key player in
ensuring the security and integrity of our platform.
Key Responsibilities:

• Security Solution Management:
Administer and manage a variety of security solutions across the enterprise,
including but not limited to:
o Firewall Management (Next-Gen Firewalls, Web Application Firewalls)
o PAM (Privileged Access Management) Solutions
o Network Access Control (NAC) Systems
o SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) Solutions
o Endpoint Security Platforms (Antivirus, EDR, and Threat Protection)
o Email Security Solutions
o IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems)
o Encryption Technologies (Data at Rest, Data in Transit)
o Load Balancers (LB) and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
o DDoS Mitigation Tools
o DNS Security Solutions
o Proxy Servers and Content Filtering Solutions
o CASB (Cloud Access Security Broker)

• Security Incident Response:
Collaborate with the incident response team to investigate and respond to
security threats. Work on detection, analysis, and remediation of incidents
related to the platforms under your management.

• Security Policy Enforcement:
Implement and enforce security policies across various security solutions.
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g.,
GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

• Vulnerability Management & Risk Mitigation:
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and work to mitigate risks. Use
security tools to monitor systems and platforms for vulnerabilities and
implement patches or configuration changes as necessary.

• System Configuration & Optimization:
Configure and fine-tune security platforms to ensure optimal performance,
security, and compliance. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve any issues related to
security solution deployments.

• Collaboration & Reporting:
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as DevOps, IT infrastructure, and
network teams to ensure seamless integration of security measures. Provide
regular reports on security posture, incidents, and system performance to
management.

• Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with the latest trends, threats, and technologies in cybersecurity.
Recommend improvements and assist with the continuous evolution of our
security infrastructure.
Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.

• Proven experience (3-5 years) in managing and administering security platforms,
with hands-on experience in multiple areas such as:
o Firewalls (NGFW/WAF)
o PAM solutions (e.g., CyberArk, BeyondTrust)
o NAC (e.g., Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass)
o SASE (e.g., Zscaler, Prisma SASE)
o Endpoint security (e.g., CrowdStrike, Carbon Black)
o Email Security (e.g., Proofpoint, Mimecast)
o IPS/IDS (e.g., Snort, Suricata)
o Load Balancers and Web Application Firewalls (e.g., F5, AWS WAF)
o DDoS Mitigation (e.g., Arbor Networks, Cloudflare)
o DNS Security (e.g., Infoblox)
o Proxies and CASB (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope)

• Strong understanding of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, DNS,
HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS).

• Hands-on experience with encryption protocols and best practices.

• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, etc.).

• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or vendor-specific certifications like
Palo Alto Networks (PCNSA/PCNSE), Check Point, or Cisco.

• Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log management.

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices (AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation of security
tasks.
Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical
concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks
simultaneously.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
