Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Part-Time Wix Velo Developer to join our team remotely. As a Wix Velo Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating and enhancing web applications using the Wix Velo platform. This position offers flexibility with a range of hours per week (10-40 hours) to accommodate your schedule, making it ideal for individuals seeking to balance work with other commitments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and desired outcomes.
  • Develop and implement interactive and visually appealing web applications using Wix Velo.
  • Customize and extend Wix Velo components to achieve specific functionalities and user experiences.
  • Integrate third-party APIs, plugins, and services to enhance the capabilities of web applications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in compliance with best practices and coding standards.
  • Optimize websites for speed, performance, and search engine optimization (SEO).
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, bugs, and glitches in a timely manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Wix Velo features, updates, and industry trends to suggest improvements.
  • Collaborate with remote teams, providing technical insights, suggestions, and innovative solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code and alignment with coding standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a frontend or full-stack developer, with a focus on web development.
  • Proficiency in Wix Velo (formerly known as Wix Corvid) and its various functionalities.
  • Experience in integrating RESTful APIs and working with JSON data.
  • Familiarity with database design and management, including working with databases like Wix Databases or external databases.
  • Understanding of responsive design, UI/UX best practices, and web design principles.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and optimization techniques for websites.
  • Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with remote teams.
  • Previous experience working in remote settings is a plus.
  • A portfolio showcasing Wix Velo projects or web development work is advantageous.
  • Relevant certifications or formal training in web development is a plus.
