Position: MERN Stack Engineer

Location: Lahore, Pakistan

About Us:

We are looking for a skilled and passionate MERN Stack Engineer to join our growing team. As a MERN Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. You will work closely with our product and design teams to create scalable and efficient solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  2. Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
  3. Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  4. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  5. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  6. Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  8. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in web development, with a focus on the MERN stack.
  3. Extensive experience with React.js and its core principles.
  4. Solid understanding of Node.js and Express.js.
  5. Proficiency in MongoDB, including schema design and optimization.
  6. Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
  7. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice-to-Have:

  1. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  2. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  3. Knowledge of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and SASS.
  4. Experience with TypeScript.
  5. Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth and JWT.
